Who am I? This is a question that plagues all of us. The more entrepreneurs I’ve interacted with over the past 5+ years, I’ve discovered this is actually a hard question to answer for most of us.
The Short Answer
I am your author coach, productivity coach & motivational speaker ready to help you find and share your voice with the world.
The Longer Answer
Since my teens, I’ve lived with chronic illness: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome at around 15 which then progressed to include Fibromyalgia when I was about 19. Those conditions taught me many lessons including how important self-care is and how vital it is to live the life you really want. For many years, I floated by, surviving and getting by. When you’re sick, that’s all you can do for the most part.
As my symptoms became more manageable and my personal life evolved, I began to create a career. While I always dreamed of a writing, speaking & teaching career, starting that type of career at 28 years old with virtually no experience, training or support was not feasible. So I went with my strengths of being a gifted organizer, project manager and “get things done” person. I progressed quickly in my career as an administrative professional to supervisor roles until my last corporate role was managing a technical administrative team for a financial institution.
Yet, there was something missing.
In 2015, I met my soul mate. My soon-to-be wife Dani was an entrepreneur as a marketing automation consultant. We got married in 2016 and, at the same time, I quit my job and dived head first into entrepreneurship with her by my side. Falling into old patterns, I relied on my technical and administrative skills to become a valued technical virtual assistant as well as providing marketing and project management strategies to our clients.
Again, there was something missing.
While I got into copywriting during this time, it wasn’t the right fit.
I knew I had more to say. I needed to find my voice.
A variety of non-life-threatening but still impactful health ailments plagued Dani making it extremely challenging to build and grow a business.
While 2020 was a year for the entire world to adapt, 2019 was the pivotal year for me.
This was when I stopped focusing on the “easy” stuff; administrative, technical, project management, and organizing. I realized I needed more from my career.
My dream of writing, teaching and speaking begged to be set free.
I began writing my first solo book. This book evolved into Step, Step, Pick: How to Use the Power of Momentum to Tackle Tasks, Finish Projects & Fulfill Your Dreams.
